Paul Krugman and Economic Chamber decorated with Order of Merit for Macedonia


The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski decorated Nobel Prize winner and economist Paul Krugman and the Economic Chamber of the Republic of North Macedonia with Order of Merit for Macedonia.

Paul Krugman was decorated for his innovation, vision and outstanding contribution to the field of economics, through the establishment of a new model of international trade, the introduction of new disciplines in international economics, as well as his work as a university professor and the publication of numerous important scientific works.

The Economic Chamber was decorated for 100 years of dedicated investment and lasting contribution to the development of the economy and the connection of various guild business structures, thus providing a reliable basis for continuous improvement and development of market conditions and competitiveness, as a foundation for stability and economic prosperity of the state.

Order of Merit for Macedonia is awarded to all those who contributed their efforts and made top achievements in all domains of social life of the country.
