Veganism got a flag

Vexillology

‘Every great movement in history has has a flag.’

Guided by this motto, Gad V Hakimi, a graphic designer from Israel, started an initiative to establish a Vegan flag. Analyzing the symbols and logos of vegan associations around the world, he came to the conclusion that veganism needs a flag that will be a symbol that will reflect the entire concept of veganism.

Thus, with the help of several activists and designers, on 9 June 2017, the initiative presented the Vegan flag. The flag consists of a blue field with two triangular fields in green and white, which as a central element form the letter V.

The selected colors of the flag represent the land, air and water – the colors of the Earth.

The flag is free to use and anyone can fly it, share it, print it and sell it.
