The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr Gjorge Ivanov decorated the Military Police and Engineering Battalion with Order of Military Merit.

The battalions were decorated for outstanding contribution and support in preserving the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as strengthening national security and security of citizens, especially in dealing with the refugee crisis as a global security challenge.

The Order of Military Merit is awarded to members of the security forces of the Republic of Macedonia for the successes they achieve in the field.
