The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski decorated Lazar Lechic, Blagoja Georgievski Bushtur (posthumously), Vladimir Bogoevski, Nase Nasev and Borche Kostovski with Medal for Merit for Macedonia.

These prominent athletes, greats and legends were decorated for their lasting mark on the sports fields and huge contribution to the affirmation of Macedonian sport and country.

Medal for Merit for Macedonia is awarded to individuals and legal entities for the development and promotion in all areas of life and work in the country.
